Defined Beauty Lounge Policies

Please make note of the following salon policies to ensure a pleasant, relaxing, and refreshing salon experience

Right to refuse service

I understand that my salon professional has the right to refuse service to anyone.

Health/ Wellness 

We kindly ask that if you are experiencing symptoms like those of Covid-19 or the common cold/flu to please reschedule your appointment to help maintain the health and safety of us all. 

DB Beauty Wall (Photography Purposes Only) 

The DB Beauty wall is  not to be used as a waiting area or for storage for personal items. Please use the coat rack provided to hang personal belongings.

Electronics

Please bring earphones to listen to or play music, games, ipad, laptop, etc. As a courtesy to others, please refrain from the use of speakerphones. 

Kid Policy

No kids are allowed in the salon unless being serviced by a salon professional. Kids under the age of 18                               must be dropped off at their appointment and picked up when all services are complete.  Parents will be notified 15 minutes prior to finishing services. At this time I am not accepting new clients under the age of 11 (November 2023)

Pet policy

No pets are allowed.

Mask Policy

Masks are optional until further notice. Mask(s) must cover the nose and mouth and be worn for the duration of the appointment IF mask wearing becomes manadatory.

Scheduling

All appointments must be scheduled online at www.definedbeautyoakland.com. A valid card must be on file at all times. A deposit of $50 required at the time of booking.. Cards that are not valid will result in your appointment being canceled. 

Payments

All deposits and payments are non refundable. Deposits can be made through cash, zelle, apple pay,or credit/debit.

There will be a 3% charge on all services paid by debit/credit card

Deposits 

Effective January 1, 2024 all appointments will require a deposit of $50 at the time of booking. Deposits will be applied towards your total service cost. Deposits are non refundable and can be transferred once if needed. If for any reason you need to cancel an appointment you must rebook at the time of the cancellation in order to transfer your deposit.

Your styleseat profile must have a valid card on file at all times. Appointments that have an invalid card on file will be canceled.

Any cancellation 48hrs prior to your appointment results in a 50% late cancellation fee. Same day cancellation will result in the total service cost & loss of deposit.

Booking

When scheduling your appointment please book ALL the necessary services needed for scheduling purposes. Changes to your service must be communicated within 48 hours of your appointment.

Grace Period

All appointments will be given a 5 minute grace period. If you arrive after the given grace period you may be asked to reschedule your appointment

Cancellations 

A 50% cancellation fee will apply for appointments that are not canceled within 24 hours of your appointment. Same day cancellations will be treated as a no show. 100% of the total service cost will be charged. . 

Guest

Due to limited seating, guests are not allowed during your scheduled appointment.

Equipment

Please allow your salon professional to adjust salon dryers at all times.

Parking

Metered and residential parking is available when visiting the salon. It is strongly suggested to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to accommodate for parking. As a convenience, please download the parkmobile app to pay for metered parking. The Zone is #44255.

Sunday -Monday  CLOSED
